BPSSC Forest Range Officer Recruitment 2025: 24 Vacancies, Apply by June 1st!Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has released a new notification for the recruitment of Range Officers of Forests under the Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.

Eligibility Criteria:

Nationality:

• Must be an Indian citizen.
• Both male and female candidates can apply.
• Third-gender candidates are also eligible.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in at least one of the following subjects:
  • Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science
  • Botany
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • Mathematics
  • Geology
  • Zoology
  • Statistics
  • Environmental Science
  • Forestry
  • Agriculture
  • Engineering (Any Branch)
• Degree must be from a recognized university.

Age Limit (as of 01-01-2025):

Note: Government employees may get 5 years age relaxation, and ex-servicemen also have separate provisions.

Selection Process:

1. Written Exam (Prelims + Mains)
   • Prelims: General Hindi (100 marks) – Qualifying
   • Mains: General Knowledge (300 marks)
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
   • Walking Test:
     • Male: 25 km in 4 hours
     • Female: 14 km in 4 hours
3. Interview / Document Verification

Physical Standards (Minimum):

For Male Candidates:

• Height: 163 cm (Gen/OBC), 152.5 cm (ST)
• Chest: 79 cm (Unexpanded), 84 cm (Expanded)

For Female Candidates:

• Height: 150 cm (Gen/OBC), 145 cm (ST)
• No chest measurement required
