Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- 10+2 (Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, Maths) with 60% or above (in Class 12 PCM only).
- JEE (Main) 2025 is mandatory.
Age Limit:
- Must be born between 02 July 2006 and 01 July 2009 (inclusive).
- Minimum age: 16½ years, Maximum age: 19½ years as on 01 Jan 2026.
Additional Conditions:
- Must be unmarried and male.
- Cannot marry during training; doing so leads to discharge and recovery of training cost.
- Must not have any criminal record or exam ban.
Selection Process
- Application Shortlisting based on JEE Mains CRL Rank.
- SSB Interview (5 days) – August to September 2025.
- Held at Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, or Jalandhar.
- Medical Examination for SSB-recommended candidates.
- Final Merit List based on SSB score only.
- Joining Letter for top-ranking medically fit candidates.
Training Details
- Phase I (3 years): Cadet Training Wings (CTW) at Pune, Mhow, or Secunderabad.
- Phase II (1 year): Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun.
- Total Training: 4 years (Integrated military + engineering)
- Degree Awarded: B.E./B.Tech after successful completion.

Q1. Can I apply if I am still in Class 12?
No. You must have passed Class 12 and appeared in JEE Mains 2025.
Q2. Is there any written test for TES?
No. Selection is based on SSB interview and JEE Mains rank.
Q3. What happens if I marry during training?
You’ll be disqualified and asked to refund the training cost.
Q4. Do I get a degree?
Yes, you will receive a Bachelor of Engineering degree after training.
Q5. Is this a permanent Army job?
Yes. On successful completion, you get Permanent Commission as a Lieutenant.
Q6. What if I’m found medically unfit?
You won’t be allowed to continue in the course. Medical standards are strict.
