The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is hiring Consultants for Standardization Activities on a one-year contract basis. This is your chance to work with the national standards body of India, under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Government of India.
Consultants will help BIS develop, revise, and promote Indian Standards. You’ll work with various technical committees, support new standard development, collaborate with government bodies and industries, and help BIS maintain international standards quality.

Working Conditions
- Timings: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Monday to Friday)
- Leave: 12 days paid leave annually
- Full-time: No other employment allowed during the contract
- No TA/DA for joining. Reimbursed only for official travel, as per BIS rules.
